Reimbursement Policy for Lost or Damaged Equipment
At Island Connection Rentals, we take great pride in providing high-quality beach equipment for your enjoyment. However, accidents can happen, and equipment may become lost or damaged. In such cases, the following reimbursement policy applies:
Lost or Non-Returned Items: If you fail to return any rented item(s) at the end of your rental period, you will be charged the full replacement cost of the item(s). This includes items that are lost, misplaced, or stolen during your rental period.
Damaged Items: If any rented item is returned in a damaged condition, rendering it unusable or requiring significant repair, you will be charged a damage fee equal to the full replacement cost of the item.
Replacement Costs: Replacement costs are determined based on the current market value of the item(s) at the time of loss or damage. These costs are subject to change without notice.
Payment: All replacement costs and damage fees must be paid in full before any future rentals can be processed. We accept cash, credit cards, and other standard forms of payment.
Inspection: All rented items will be inspected upon return for any damage or missing components. Any issues will be documented, and you will be notified of any applicable charges.
By renting equipment from Island Connection Rentals, you agree to take full responsibility for the care and safekeeping of the items during your rental period. We recommend treating our equipment with the same care and respect as you would your own personal belongings.

By purchasing this equipment and completing this transaction, I hereby agree to the following waiver and release of liability:
Assumption of Risk: I understand that being near the ocean, using certain equipment, and participating in ocean/beach activities involves inherent risks that could result in property damage, personal injury, or death. I voluntarily accept and assume full responsibility for these risks on behalf of myself and any minor children under my care.
Waiver and Release: In consideration for being permitted to purchase and use the equipment, I hereby waive, release, and discharge Island Connection Rentals and its officers, agents, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action arising out of or relating to any damage, injury, or death caused by my misuse of the equipment, failure to use the equipment as recommended, failure to use caution when near the ocean, or participation in any ocean/beach activities.
Indemnification: I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Island Connection Rentals from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses incurred due to my or my minor children's actions, omissions, or negligence related to the use of the equipment, presence near the ocean, or participation in ocean/beach activities.
Acknowledgement: I have carefully read and fully understand the contents of this waiver. I acknowledge that I must use the equipment only as recommended and follow all safety instructions. I am aware that this waiver covers any risks or liabilities associated with the use of the equipment, presence near the ocean, and participation in ocean/beach activities, even if not directly related to Island Connection Rentals provided services. By agreeing to this waiver, I am releasing Island Connection Rentals from liability and assuming all such risks.
